A Gaming Journey

To Do

with 3 comments

This is a quick overview of my current gaming goals, be they achievement based or simply doing something specific in a game. Updated 27th June 2009

Create a perfect character in Fallout 3
Fallout 3 is possibly my favourite game on the 360, and I’ve already gone through it twice. Now the level cap is up to 30, I think it’s possible to make a character that is effectively perfect, with a 10 for every SPECIAL stat, and 100% in all skills. It’ll take a fair bit of planning to make sure I get things in the correct order, but I think it’s very do-able.
Get 1000 achievement points on Ninja Gaiden 2
This is one goal I’m not expecting any time soon. With 8 weapon master achievements (meaning you have to complete the game using a single weapon), and 4 difficulties, I’d be surprised if I could manage it all. I’ve already breezed through it on Acolyte with a minor bump here and there and got 1 weapon master achievement, so I’ve only got 7 more play throughs on Acolyte to get the other weapon achievements, and the 3 harder difficulties left. Thank god I love a challenge!
Finish the offline career of Need For Speed: ProStreet
I was really surprised by how good the game was considering the poor reviews it got. I stayed away from it for ages until it popped through my letterbox via my rental list. I’m partway through the single player career and enjoying it, just need to find the time for it amongst all my other games!
Get the last 4 achievements on Dead Rising
Of course, the last 4 are probably the hardest 4 – Saint (saving 50 survivors in one playthrough), Transmissionary (answer all the calls from Otis), 5 Day Survivor, and 7 Day Survivor. The last two can only be done in Infinity Mode, which is a mode where your health continually drops, there isn’t enough health to keep you alive (and it doesn’t respawn), and you can’t save it whatsoever. The 7 Day survivor equates to 14 hours of non-stop gameplay, assuming you don’t need a single break for food, the bathroom, or whatever. I’ll probably attempt it when I next have a holiday so I can start it and then either play through the night, or simply leave the console on overnight and carry on in the morning.

  1. If you need a hand on the M:UA achievements let me know, I could do with quite a few of the multiplayer ones and a few of the others. :)

  2. total judos if you manage the survivor achievements in Dead Rising. They are STILL two of the hardest achievements going.
